Dean Wendt was a co-founder/creator and Disc jockey on Radio Disney from 1994–1999 Season 4–11 but left the company in order to dedicate his time to voicing Barney the Dinosaur in 2001 after Bob West retired in 2000.
His voice has appeared in various other Barney media, such as concert tours around the world. He has appeared in such shows as Barney’s Colorful World and Barney Live! The Let’s Go Tour. He has also appeared in over 100 TV shows and over 25 videos.
For more than 35 years, James Alburger has worked with voice over artists as a voice actor, director, performer and studio engineer in Los Angeles and San Diego. For 25 years he was a director and audio producer for NBC in San Diego, where he received 11 Emmy Awards. Following his television career, James moved into professional voice over and creative services. Randye Kaye is an American voice over artist, radio host, actress, singer, and author based in Connecticut. From 1990 she has been a radio personality on NPR affiliates WSHU-FM/AM, and was on air with STAR 99.9 FM from 1990 to 2005. Kaye has voiced commercials for dozens of major companies, and has narrated a number of children’s books for authors such as Gail Gibbons, David A. Adler, Jan Brett, and Sarah Stewart. She also narrated numerous full-length audiobooks for Audible, Tantor Media, including the audio version of Past Perfect, the 2007 novel by Susan Isaacs. Kaye’ acclaimed memoir, Ben Behind His Voices: One Family’s Journey from the Chaos of Schizophrenia to Hope, was published by Rowman and Littlefield on August 16, 2011.Kaye also narrated the audiobook version, nominated for a 2011 Listen Up Award by Publishers’ Weekly in the category “Read by Author”
