This pad is a structural noise Isolator, which synergizes three distinct vibration-absorbing materials with different resiliency, organized in three layers and working together in perfect balance to achieve unparalleled Isolation performance.

Neoprene layer of the pads provides firm grip of the equipment and cancels high frequencies.

The spring loaded support has four tough springs designed to support heavy load and cancel low frequencies.

Bottom flat rubber pads resist chemicals, lubricants, and oils. It also provides excellent friction and grip on the surface to prevent sliding and minimize vibration.

NOTE: What is “Decoupling”?  Decoupling is a process of separation different surfaces to prevent unison vibration.

Sound is energy transferred via vibration of molecules of media (air, water, steel, etc. ). If two sound blocking surfaces with the same properties (density), like two sheets of drywall or two sheets of metal are touching each other – they will vibrate in unison (together) and will be less effective as if there was an airgap in between or a layer of silicone or rubber, or any other material with different property.

When sound goes through layers with different density/different media, it changes the amplitude and length of vibrations and it loses the energy faster.  The spring is in effect the most efficient vibration canceller.

Piano pads. Place them under piano to cancel transfer of vibration from piano to the floor.

Floating floor Vocal Booth.   Every Book on  building proper Vocal booth recommends creating a “Room within a room ” type of enclosure where a vocalbooth or audio recording  booth has not direct contact with surrounding building.  The Spring Loaded rubber pads is what you need to create such a room.  when you build a base for the floor – attach the pads to the beams. They provide the sound vibration cancelling platform on which you can build the Vocal Booth.
